Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Dollvale community! Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all BJD enthusiasts. Please read and adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

Dollvale is a BJD Site

Dollvale is strictly for ball-jointed dolls (BJDs) and their close kin. Dolls entered into the Vault, shared in galleries, or listed on the marketplace should be one of the following:

  • Resin BJDs — traditional strung resin dolls from companies such as Volks, Fairyland, Luts, Iplehouse, DollZone, and similar, including limited and artist-cast resin dolls.
  • Vinyl BJDs — vinyl-bodied dolls in the BJD tradition such as Dollfie Dream, Smart Doll, Angel Philia, and Obitsu-bodied dolls.
  • PVC / ABS dolls — articulated dolls such as Azone, Pullip, Blythe, Ruruko, and Nendoroid Doll bodies.
  • Artist dolls — self-made, hand-cast, or 3D-printed dolls that are strung and articulated in the BJD style. Handmade art is always welcome here.

Cloth dolls, porcelain dolls, fashion/play dolls (such as Barbie or baby dolls), reborns, plush, and other non-BJD toys are outside the scope of Dollvale and may be removed by moderators. If you are unsure whether your doll fits, ask us — we are happy to help.

Be Respectful

  • Kindness and Respect are expected at all times.
  • Discrimination, hate speech, harassment, and personal attacks will not be tolerated.
  • Maintain respect when discussing differing opinions.
  • As a global site, please remember to be respectful of varying languages, cultures, and practices.

Stay On Topic

  • Ensure your posts and comments are relevant to the forum they are posted in.
  • Avoid spamming or posting repetitive content. (See each forum for BUMP rules).
  • Topics are specific to the zone you are in. Pay attention to where you are posting.
  • Off-topic content will be removed without warning.

Protect Privacy

  • Please do not include personal information such as address, SS number, Paypal info, or phone number in your profile.
  • DO NOT SHARE personal information other than PayPal email address, Address, Name, or Telephone Number with sales and trades (See Trade and Sales Regulations).
  • Do not save or distribute the images, sales information, personal information, or names of members without EXPRESS CONSENT.
  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all members at all times.

Images and Copyright

  • Only post content that is owned by you or that you have express permission to post (In ANY public forum).
  • Posting of copyrighted materials in sales, trades, and personal forums will be flagged and potentially removed.
  • Doll Nudity and “Sexy” Doll images are permitted but should be entered as an adult image to prevent issues with varying laws and regulations.
  • Sexually explicit (human) content, content featuring drug use (doll or human), and content featuring illegal activities (doll or human) is not permitted within Dollvale.

Prohibited Content

  • Content depicting minors in sexually explicit situations (image or written) is prohibited.
  • Content depicting acts of violence, racism, sexism, religious persecution, etc. (image or written) is prohibited.

Moderation

Our moderation team is here to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all members. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to take appropriate action against those who breach the rules. Appropriate action may include content removal, member suspension, or member removal.
